MyFITNESS' PROGRAM NEW KIDS PROGRAM

The ‘My Fitness’ Program is designed to cultivate sustainable healthy lifestyle behaviors in youth through exercise and nutrition. The 'My Fitness' Program is a learning program designed to teach each child the tools needed to: Reach a healthy and sustainable weight • Enjoy healthy foods Become more physically active • Enjoy a better self image • Gain confidence One step at a time! Get Started Now! GET STARTED NOW! The My Fitness’ program has been developed by our team of exercise trainers, a registered nurse and a pediatrician. The program is comprised of:

  • An initial evaluation including blood pressure, heart rate, height/weight, BMI and assessment of cardiovascular conditioning and muscle strength
  • Workshops about wise food choices and sustainable life style choices
  • Weekly meetings with a dietician

The prevalence of overweight children has tripled in the last three decades! One out of every three children are overweight or obese and these numbers are rising!

Correlating with this trend is the emergence of serious weight related medical complications among youth such as Type II Diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, sleep disorders and more. These once 'adult only' conditions are placing a tremendous medical, emotional and financial burden on children and their families.

The 'My Fitness' Program is designed to intervene in order to prevent and reduce the acquisition of poor health habits and jump start a love of exercise and healthy food choices.





Each renewable exercise block contains three (3) sessions weekly for one month.

Increase cardiovascular fitness

Increase muscle strength

Increase self-esteem

Fun physical activities specifically designed for youth to help motivate and encourage your child to remain active

A multidisciplinary team will set, monitor and reinforce individualized goals

Youth learn about established attitudes and beliefs that effect behavior

Family education including how cultural preferences and eating patterns influence health

Follow up evaluation and recommendations for each child at the end of the program

A multidisciplinary team consisting of certified personal trainers, dieticians, a pediatrician and registered nurse will evaluate each child individually using comprehensive screening tools
